Financial Information

If you are seeking an invitation for your student to return to Nativity Prep next academic year (which begins June 30, 2010), current proof of household income must be submitted to Ms. Renzette as soon as possible.

Summer Term

June 30 – July 24. Permission forms for the summer term need to be submitted no later than Monday, June 7.
Students need to arrive no later than 9:00 AM on Wednesday, June 30, for check-in and departure.

Schedule

  • 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM Students clean the school
  • 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM Academic classes
  • 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Team sports and activities
  • 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM All students go home for dinner
  • 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM Students return to school for evening study
  • Saturdays – Students go on field trips and parents rotate cleaning the school
  • July – All students participate in a four week summer program at DeSales University that combines academics and athletics with typical camp activities

Curriculum

Nativity focuses on a traditional curriculum and places a strong emphasis on reading, writing, and mathematics. Some highlights of the Nativity experience are:

  • Novel-based reading and intensive writing programs
  • Math classes range from basic arithmetic to Algebra I
  • Evening study hall and tutoring each night
  • Two hours of required homework each night. Most students return during the evening for supervised study to complete their home work assignments. Students earning high honors and 8th graders in their last two semesters are exempt from evening study.
  • Art, music, science, and social studies for all grades
  • Skills classes for all grades
  • Class size is 10-15 students
